Research interests

Questions worth asking carefully.

I am seeking graduate study to develop the methods, scientific judgment, and practical research skills to explore biotechnology questions more deeply.

01

Biological resources and food systems

I want to understand how biotechnology can be applied to locally relevant food-system questions, with attention to methods, evidence, and practical constraints.

02

Fungal biotechnology

Mushroom-focused work has encouraged an interest in fungal biotechnology and agricultural by-products. A possible future question is how selected local substrates influence cultivation under controlled conditions.

03

Developing research judgment

Graduate study would help me strengthen experimental design, data interpretation, and the ability to distinguish a promising idea from a result that has been carefully tested.

A possible future direction

Local resources.
Testable questions.

How might selected locally available agricultural substrates influence oyster mushroom cultivation under controlled conditions?

This is a possible question for future graduate study. Developing it would require a clear experimental design, appropriate measurements, supervision, and careful attention to feasibility.

I would like to strengthen my ability to design comparisons, document procedures, interpret results, and assess the limits of an idea before discussing wider applications.

Prospective research interest
The next chapter

Learning through graduate study.

A strong research environment would help me move from broad curiosity toward focused, disciplined inquiry.

I am interested in graduate opportunities in China that connect relevant biotechnology training with practical research. My aim is to build knowledge that can inform work on biological resources and food systems in Ethiopia.

I welcome conversations with researchers whose work connects with these interests.
